Die Lage des Hotels
The archipelago of Bocas del Toro in Panama is situated on the northwestern coast of Panama in and around the Bay of Chiriqui. This isolated region of Panama has only recently been discovered by international travelers. It is for this reason that much of the island chain remains in pristine and untouched splendor. It is a diver and outdoor lovers paradise with unspoiled coral reefs, deep-sea fishing, boating, kayaking, snorkeling and long sandy deserted beaches. Traveling to Bocas, as the locals call it, can either be as simple as taking a 40 minute flight from Panama City or as adventurous as going over land by bus and water taxi. Either way it is a destination unlike any to be found elsewhere in Panama. Isla Solarte, also known as Nancy Cay, is an 8 km2 island located only 1.5 km east of Bocas del Toro, where Garden of Eden is located.

Surfing: Surfing in Bocas Del Toro, Panama is different from surfing in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua or any other places in Central America. The surf in Bocas is island/reef surf, similar to what a surfer might find in the South Pacific or Indian Ocean. The Bocas del Toro surf season generally starts around November and begins to calm around April, although the peak of summer in June and July can bring a mini-season which provides a great window to surf Panama’s Caribbean. Fishing: The sub-sea topography of the Caribbean basin surrounding Bocas del Toro is extreme. Water depths can be more than 2,000 feet just five miles offshore. You can be fishing for Yellowfin, Blackfin, and Bigeye Tuna, Wahoo, Kingfish or Snapper all within a few miles of the island, Mangrove estuaries throughout the archipelago are vast. Most of the sheilded sides of the islands in Bocas del Toro are covered in mature and lush mangrove forests. There are also hundreds of mangrove islets scattered throughout the archipelago, most of which are protected by the Bastimentos National Marine Park by the Federal Government Eco tourism; After enjoying a day on a white sand beach, riding the waves or cruising below them then it is time to take in the other Eco tourist activities available such as exploring the natural limestone “Bat" Caves so named for their most favorite inhabitant. At least they are not called “Caymen Caves”. Panama and especially Bocas Del Toro is known for its high grade Chocolate. There are several Cacao farms that provide tours and classes in how chocolate is made from the seed pod of the Cacoa tree. An educational and delicous adventure! Rainforest, Tropical Plant & Animal Tours Maybe your interests are more focused on the Flora and Fauna. Bocas Del Toro has several excellent rainforest, tropical plant and animal tours that range from a tour of the manicured Finca Las Monas Botanical Gardens to a guided hike through the rainforest. Our staff can also arrange professional bird guides for the bird lovers in your group. Just let us know what your interests are and we will help you find a way to explore them on Bocas.. Kayaks are available for exploring the numerous mangrove inlands in the vicinity of the Garden of Eden, or for watching the dolphins in the bay.
