Sydkustens at Pillehill is run by Jannike and Johan with staff and the hotel dog Hillton, the dalmatian. Our beautiful Pillehill is one of the highest situated houses along the south coast. The view is breath taking! Here we offer a homey place with comfortable beds, spacious rooms and home baked bread on the breakfast buffet. The well renowned restaurant, with new fixed menus every day, serves interpretations of Swedish and European cuisine with focus on the local and ecological. The glass restaurant gives you a wonderful view of the countryside. In fine weather, dinner evenings always begin with the entire view side being fully opened. We have one of Swedens best wine lists, with over 500 labels, and we continuously develop our wine celler with quality wines. The wines, chosen for each dish's main ingredient in particular, by the sommelier and the head chef, always have the most important role when we compose each dish and create our menus. You get to enjoy a delicious overall experience of food and wine in combination. We offer tasting events, both open and to private groups. Die Lage des Hotels
The beautiful Pillehill is one of the highest situated houses in the countryside along the Swedish South Coast area. The view is breath taking! Within three quarters of an hours drive you are in Malmö and the bridge to Denmark and Copenhagen. You will arrive at the Kastrup airport in about an hour. It takes just under 25 minutes to get to Malmö Sturup airport and about half an hour to the ferry ports in Trelleborg and Ystad.
Zimmer / Unterbringung im Hotel
We offer a homey place with comfortable beds in spacious rooms. Every room designed in different styles. The Apple War is our most romantic room and is situated in a separate cottage. It has a lovely panorama view. We recommend this cottage for honeymooners. South of the Highway is one of our two junior suits and has a lovely view overlooking the fields. It is located in the old farm house and is the only room with entrance from within the main building. The Courier is our another junior suit, located also in the old farm house, facing the back side of the farm. It has a private balcony with wonderful view over the pool area. Elvira Madigan is our biggest family room and fits up to 5 persons. Here you will be staying in the oldest part of the farm house, all with quirky and charming details. The room has a private balcony facing the south and the ocean in the horizon. Nils is an apartment for up to 4 persons. The small kitchen is in an open area with the living room, that also fits a sitting area and sofa bed. The apartment is situated in an annex and has a balcony facing the south. The charming old house "Fanny Hill", situated just next to the main farm, fits two double rooms with shared bathroom, kitchen and living area. They are individually decorated with lovely views and have separate outdoor areas. In one of them you can find a fireplace. Next to these rooms there is the sauna (available for all guests).
Gastronomie im Hotel
Here at Sydkustens at Pillehill we love to share with our passion for good food and fabulous wines. Our Head Chef Jannike Briesenland-Lister composes our dishes with the wines in focus. She has a passion for the combination and aim that one plus one equals three. Our ambition is to remain one of the best wine destinations in Sweden. We focus on quality wines from all over the world as well as from Sweden, mainly in small quantities. Cooking with genuine methods using local products, preferably ecologically produced. Summertime as local as from our own garden. We want you and the nature to feel good! Creating dishes from scratch with love and with wonderful local ingredients at the core is our backbone. The menus varies from season to season, and often on a daily basis depending on what products we get from our local suppliers. Most evenings we serve a three and five course table d'hôte (set menus), but some days, like when we have special themes, even more. Fridays and Saturdays, except during the height of the summer season, we also serve tasting menus of seven to ten dishes. Wine packages are offered for the menus, including the wines that were in the "driver's seat" when the respective dish was created. We can serve a vegetarian alternative and special children dishes, but please let us know when booking your table. The same goes for allergies.
