The only way to travel to Gozo is by sea and Gozo Channel provide a ferry service from Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal, Malta to Mgarr Ferry Terminal, Gozo. The crossing takes 25-minutes and go on a regular bases. If you are a foot passenger, you will not pay anything to enter Gozo, but on the way back to Malta, you will have to pay €4.65 if you don't hold a local residency card. You can get to Victoria or anywhere else on the island by using Gozo's affordable and reliable public transportation. The closest beach to Xaghra is Ramla, the most popular beach in Gozo. With a stretch of golden sand, a choice of market stalls, restaurants and beach equipment rentals there is something for everyone to enjoy the sun, sand and sea.
